Im generally curious of this one

Say if you keep it tidy, always fix if crashed but nothing serious, only fairing works
Keep it oiled up, keep it serviced and running as best as

How much life does one of these have until it will die?

Only because I love mine to bits and it just pushes n pushes out and never seems to quit and I dont ever wana get rid of it but just want to make sure there isnt a day any time soon it could potentially bail

Marshi, you mean when the bike just gives us? Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't modern day engines designed to run up to 100,000 miles? Think I heard it somewhere.

So long as you look after it and keep on top of the servicing etc it should see 70k or more.. depends on alot of factors really..
Engines are a lot stronger than they used to be and its not uncommon to say stupid mileages on cars thats aren't clinging to life..

What you are asking is a pretty hard question to answer to be honest. No 2 machines with the number of parts a motorcycle has, can ever be the same.
1 might last 100k miles, one might last 50k miles.

You in theory could keep it going as long as parts are available, a la trigger style:

I don't have anything productive or useful to add to this thread but I would like you to know that you are now responsible for me having the Thundercats theme tune going around in my head... this happens every time someone mentions a thundercat.... it's going to drive me insane, I couldn't possibly ever own one.... imagine Shocked

Second gear would be the first thing to go pop if the legend is to be believed.
