It will go down when you get to 1 years NCB. Luckily this was 2 weeks after I passed my test.

Then it dropped to £190 TPFT when I changed bikes. Amazingly, my NSR cost more to insure than my ER-5 - go figure that one!

Must be because the NSR is much more luckly to get nicked, and it's a sports replica.

I never botherd to inform my insurance company i had passed my test as i wouldnt have saved any money by doing so. I will get a years NCB very soon and may inform my current insurance company of this which should lower the cost of my current bikes insurance

Have a prod of Click Quote to see what it quotes with a CBT and then with a full license. Believe it does go down a bit, although I'm not entirely sure as to the logic that insurance companies use as when I last renewed my ZX6R insurance they asked me if my CBT was still valid.

Insurance prices go up when you pass your car test as you're then allowed to be driving on your own rather than driving with someone who they expect to be sensible and responsible.

It depends on which company you use. When i phoned around for my insurance, i got quotes for both provisional, and full licenses. I would say around half the companies i phoned had no difference, and the other half around £50 cheaper. Eg, £350 prov, £300 on a full.

I still have my data from my insurance quest. I phoned about 20 companies, so if you like i can check if your company did a cheaper quote for with a full license.

My insurance on the GPZ went down from about £800 odd to £260 when I passed my test, that was through Bennetts.

Hi there, when I passed my full DAS test my insurance company (through Carole Nash) sent me a cheque for £8.20. Not a lot of money but the first Ive ever got back from the blood suckers! As hard as it is to admit the company has treated me well so far, they recovered my bike for free when I lost my keys and have been happy to switch around my policy as I've changed bikes and re-insured others!
