I was hoping to start to put the clear coats onto my project bike this weekend, however I've come up against a problem.
I went to a paint and graphics shop, near my work, yesterday to get some wet and dry. I already have 1200 grade, the shop, however, has nothing between 1200 and 3000.
What should I use to rub down before I apply the decals and the first clear coat? ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

I have done a lot of spraying but I am way off being an expert on the subject. That said I always use 1200 paper wet for rubbing down paint. I don't usually rub down between paint and top coat, there doesn't seem to be any point. For compound I use G3. This is based purely on a the advice of someone that is featured in a number of classic car magazines. His words were very much along the lines of "I've a load of G3 over there, take some it'll be fine." ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |
