License just turned up \o/ - That seemed like a pretty quick turn around, just over a week.

Counterpart is totally different to my last one which made me double check everything. Is it right that the counterpart shows no entitlements?

All I have on that is address/driver number and a provisional entitlement for GH - my last one actually showed the categories (little icons). If there's nothing on it wtf is the point of the paper part?

Thats pretty standard. Its the plastic one that has the info you need. The counterpart has the endorsements if you have any.

whats the difference between an endorsement and a license category, also

if you have a restricted license which is shown by the dvla as A2 then is that what goes on the plastic ? or is there just A and something stating you have a restriction period?

Hate them.

Got a bike a while back, 6 weeks and 1 day ago to be precise. Just send off a v62 with the little slip from the last v5 and the bastard arrives 10 minutes after I get back in from the post office -.-

Endorsements are the penalty points, fines, bans etc.

On the paper part, it still list category A provisional entitlement, presumably because I will need to use 'Ls' when riding anything bigger than 25kW.

Well you are supposed to send your license off after two years and they update it.

In reality, I have heard, they chang your 'from' date to the date the restriction ends, knocking 2 years off, which is lame.
