CBT booked for monday 8th. 9:30-3:00.

Highway code is getting read from cover to cover over the weekend.

Cant wait. Really looking forward to it now i've finally booked it.

Managed a good deal on leathers whilst i was in the bike shop. Got £65 knocked off the jacket and trousers. Happy with that.

There. Is not much highway code stuff on the CBT a few flash cards and that was it when I did mine. We were all car drivers though so maybe the trainer was keener to get on with the bike stuff.

I was basically the dunce of the class and by lunchtime was feeling like shit but once out on the road after few minutes of terror was fine.

What I wished a had known/understood before the CBT was just how effective the rear brake is at stablising the bike at sloiw speed. If you have a push bike you can even try it out on that. Basically power the bike along against the resistance of the rear brake and magically the bike is stable Smile

its worth looking up slow bike control up on pootube.

Also if its going to be the first time out on a bike, enjoy it your going to remember it forever Smile

I don't need to wish you luck you won't need it the CBT is a good thing and thought testing at times is not a test and is full of usefull info.

If you're feeling up for it now with cbt, just imaging how you are going to buzz when finally get out on the road.

We all ride bikes for different needs, but fundamantally we all do it because it's fun, a helluva de-stresser & very exhilarating at times.

Just ride safe, take on board what instructor tells you & you will be sorted.

Good luck with your cbt just remember that its basic training and not a test go at your own pace.

I am having my first direct access lesson on Saturday and i am so looking forward to it.
