Okay, 4th attempt at Mod 1 imminent....
Today I've been to a different local shcool that has a Mod 1 course laid out off road. I've spent 2 hours there and ridden the damm course until I'm fed up with it.
Every time I made a mistake, I had to go back and start again... believe me, it soons starts to make you concentrate when you find yourself doing the F**k**g slalom for the 100th time!
I am now more than happy that I CAN do the course, and after riding the swerve thingy 10 times, I am now 100% okay doing that too...
I have another 1 hours practice there on the Tuesday before the Thursday test, and another hour BEFORE the test, so I damm well hope that THIS time I'll pass the goddam thing.
I tried singing to myself which helped, although Smoke on the Water wasn't possibly the best choice of song...

Dont go slow! Every lesson I had I went slow and couldnt do it. Test day adrenaline kicks in and do everything twice as fast. Bikes are more stable the faster they are going. Get it done and be a hooligan |

Oh dear... you're giving me permission to be a hooligan???? I DO like this forum, none of you know me, so you couldn't possibly know that a large part of my problem is that I am a hooligan already, and I'm trying to behave for tests... but thanks for the advice, I'll go a bit faster on my practice runs next week.

You're taking advice from someone who creates a thread to state he's drunk, is going to die on his bike, and (assuming he wasn't chatting shit) is out right about now riding with his mates, whilst intoxicated. 
Practice, Practice, Practice. Make sure you can do it every time. I love how 'Hooligan' riders are overcome with nerves when faced with a test that you have nothing to lose on.

Ah, well, maybe I'm not a fully fledged hooligan then! At 50 I like to think that I'm a tad more sensible than I was when I was 20, and I have a zero tolerance to anyone who drinks & drives, especially on a bike.
I tend to do what I think is right anyway, and unless it can be explained to me as to why it's a good idea to do it a certain way, then I'll do what I think is best anyhow.
I'm planning on at least 45 mins practice every day up to the test, and have another 2 or 3 hours booked on an off road private MMA course that's actually set out smaller than the real one. If I find that going a tad faster works for me, then that's what I'll do.
At the end of the day I just wanna get thro the damm test and conquer these nerves.
