£80 CHEAPER than last year! Shocked

I passed last year, so I now have my first full years no claims.
It's gone from £260 previously, to £180 this year.

That's made my day! Thumbs Up

They wanted £793.20 to renew my hornet in August, I did a confused quote and re-insured for £97.

It was the same company Laughing

I'd been go-comparing last week, and all my quotes seemed to come in around the same as last year. With the same company I'm with they were about £20 more expensive....

So I'm quite pleased really Smile

Mine renewed this month

brought the CG on the 28th and called up my current to see what they would quote - £500 tpo

got a quote with the RAC £160 with breakdown and FC so obv went with them (this was on the 28th also)

phoned A quote (my current insurer) to cancel my policy from the renew date - all well at good

went to my mail on sunday morning after my night shift and A quote and renewed my policy today

phoned them they said there was no notes to say in cancelled the renew - they have done it for me today, asked to talk to someone about it, got put through to someone and spoke to them and his exact words were:

'I couldn't care if you cancelled the renewal, your an idiot for wanting to leave us'

moral of the story - dont always got for cheap Sad

oh and avoid A Quote!!

Probably excludes pillions, business use, commuting to a permanent place of work or study, social, domestic or pleasure use, or any other use exceeding 10 miles in a year. Razz

Heh, good one, glad to see an insurer not applying a Loyalty Penalty for a change. Thumbs Up

Loyalty penalty, I like it.

Good result for the OP, especially if the renewal price is beating all the other quotes. Make sure you do all the comparison sites anyway. In 11 years of driving that's only happened to me once, so I remain a cynic!

Yeh, cheers, I'm going to do a few more tonight now I have a firm figure to aim for. Comparing the year on year prices, I'm quite pleased. If I can get it cheaper than that, I'd be really chuffed Smile

Even if it is the cheapest you find, just ring up and try and blag that you found a cheaper quote somewhere else and they may drop it.
