Working on a friends Hyosung aquilla 125 (GV) that the CDI seems to have gone "tits up" symptoms are:-
Engine Ran ok but the rev counter was erratic jumping around and often reading twice the revs.
Next start up all was well and the engine ran fine............then it cut and would only run on the rear cylinder.
So plugs out and check spark....only the rear cylinder sparking
Swap coils but still the same cylinder out so the coils are OK.
Looks like the CDI unit so, simple, just get a replacement.
Not so simple 'cos there doesn't seem to be that many in the UK and what there are here are close to £200, bloody hell, that's a lot on money!
The defunct CDI is as follows;-
Hyosung CDI unit 32900H (embossed into the plastic by the manufactures Edgetek Co)
GV-125 & G51 (in white paint stencil)
Anything else do the job? Preferably with the same connections.

Yes it seems a rather unique CDI unit so i had to buy a new one at £130. Running great now.
But is there any way of getting a bit more performance out of this little V twin. The owner is a mature guy not a hooligan teenager!
Bike runs well and it's smooth but when we go out together , me on my VN1500 (1500cc) and him on the little Aquila (125cc) the performance difference is horrific! I know I should expect that but I was just wondering????
