Which Light?

Due to a change in job my daily commute has now changed and is involving alot more off road / unlit roads. and my cheapo wilko lights aren't cutting it, on the way in as it's still getting lighter i can just about manage but on the way home the only think that stops me ending up in a canal is that it's darker than everything else so now i need a decent front light, ive read some reviews and the cateye nano shot is my favourite at the minute, especially as i can bang it on the works pc to charge but wondered if any of you guys had any other suggestions?

Budget? How quickly do you need it? If you want properly offroad lighting, HID or proper power LED is the only option.

300 lumens its great, i live out in sticks and does the job for me..

59.99 but it charges from usb, there are cheaper lights and there are more expensive but this has the best rating on wiggle and its clear why.

Budget £50-100 any less seems not upto the job and im not paying anymore for a light

I like dynamo lights for the front myself. Never run out of battery, keep you that little bit fitter Bright enough to ride at night by, no probs.

If you're set on brightness, DX is the place to be for price vs lumens; a 200-ish 18650 torch (maybe $20) plus a mounting bracket will blind everything coming at you

ive gone with the lezyne, ordered yesterday lunchtime from ebay arrived this morning. ill report back monday how it performs, looking good so far with it on it's highest setting i can see the beam on a wall 20m down the hallway in daylight

True, but for 15 quid I think worth a punt. Got a back light and 2 torches out of it if they're no good.
