i have a turkish friend who came in illegally, then obtained the correct legal documents to stay later. he ran a business, paid taxes, employed welsh people, and enrolled in college.
then he decided to become a british citizen and they deported him....

I met a British guy in New Zealand that had been living in Tasmania for 20 years without any kind of visa. He had a girlfriend and a kid at school over there and had been doing photography work or something for cash for years.
It did eventually catch up with him as he had to leave Australia to apply for a proper visa. I'm not sure if he got caught or if he just got fed up and tried to go legit but it seemed like a pretty shitty time for him and his family as they were in limbo.
He did eventually get let back in to Australia as he emailed me about six months later to tell me which was nice . ____________________ Yamaha FZR400RR 3tj

My old man came into the UK on his mothers (British) passport as a young child. Despite working for the NHS, local councils, going through college as a mature student and marrying my mother (British) he wasn't allowed a passport until a few years before he died (I have few docs. from the passport office saying he wasn't British and to bugger off).
Weirdly he managed to get in and out of the UK a couple of times on Visas without much of a problem, only the French caused a problem, they arrested and deported him back to the UK
My personal take on all this border bollocks? Knock 'em down, they cause nothing but problems. |
