Speeding Disclosure Scotland?

Hi guys.

can anyone tell me if a speeding offence appears on a full disclosure Scotland form? The speeding offense was fast enough that I am having to go to court over it and I'm looking at 2 month ban or 6 points and a fine.

Thank you for any help. I would need disclosed for a potential hospital position.

my daughter works with youth club's and has to have a full disclosure done every year
she says driving offences do show up as it disclosed a drunk driving ban on an employee she had to Vet
she says best to disclose it as unless its a driving job its not a concern

Minor traffic offences do not show up on a search, Drunk or Dangerous Driving will show up though.
You don't need to disclose speeding offences to your employer.

I'd be inclined to disclose if I thought it would not get in the way of the job IE driver
if its not a driving job and your record is clean apart from being naughty with the throttle

as my daughter says honesty pays, if they find out you hid that from them
they might wonder what else you have to hide

I believe the type of disclosure you are referring to is dealing with unspent criminal convictions.

A speeding offence is not a criminal offence for these purposes unless it was so severe it gets bumped up to dangerous driving.

If you go to court and you're convicted, it'll show up. FPN's don't as they're deemed spent (like cautions) as soon as they're received.

Of course, if you apply for your basic disclosure before you go to court, you'll have a blank disclosure. Same applies if you fill out the application form and they don't ask about pending court appearances prior to the hearing.

I have decided I must disclose it. Unfortunately although conditions were good (11pm on an empty motorway) the accused speed sounds bad to some people as it was a 50 limit and youre talking 86mph.

I will make sure I let them know about it. This position has been the main focus of my life for the past 2 years or so and I've made it down to the final group. Fingers crossed they see that I'm not a bad person. Unfortunately I stick out as the biker so hope there isn't any negative stick because of that and then the speeding affecting that.

A company can ask for to see your driving licence paper counterpart for insurance purposes. Previously company vehicle insurance was abused by drunks etc. which left companies and insurers wide open. You cannot decide what you want to show them if they ask for a copy of your current licence. If found out after the fact it's more woesererer.
