No idea to be honest, I thought it looked a bit "carby" myself but have run through the schematics and it doesn't look like a piece of the NSR carb Smile I have four NSR's sat here went to refit the tank on one for a test run before MOT time and found that little gizmo nestled on top of my engine.

could also be part of a switch or my preferred answer would be that it is part of the fuel tap/vacuum cut off

This was my first thought but they usually have a larger diaphragm rather than a small o ring type seal.

Bike in question is a JC22 NSR125R is that helps:) But I do have other bikes in bits floating around.....
