What was this?

Motorway on way home. Men at work on hard shoulder.

Caught sight of a bright white light, constant, not a flash.

Out of the darkness on the hard shoulder was a white van with the usual rear facing reflective markings. On top was a large dome with perspex tinted window. Large enough for a man to stand with head and shoulders inside. The dome was rotating, as though turning to watch me travel along the motorway.

I can expect an NIP right?

Or is it something to do with the highway agency? Maybe a vehicle for surveying?

My descriptive may not be the best but surely if it were a mobile GATSO then someone would have seen similar before. Oh I do hope so...

I'm sticking with the Dalek theory myself. Far more plausible IMHO.
