I bought some cans from the above for my sp1 having had a can off them 10 years ago for my kawasaki 636 which I was rather impressed with.
I bought some more from them a few months ago and when we were fitting them we noticed they came without a bracket that the original cans never had.I thought that was wierd but anyway fitted them then also realised that the stand doesn't flip up all the way any more.It goes about 75% of the way it used to and now sits right up against the exhaust vibrating against it. (HOW LONG BEFORE I HAVE A HOLE IN MY EXHAUST ?)

One of the bicycle style clips broke as it was being tightened and now you can't tighten it any more , tis broken , making the whole exhaust and downpipe very loose and shoddy I'm not happy as you may be able to tell.

IF IT WAS A £10 ITEM THEN YOU EXPECT THIS BUT WE HAND OVER MULTIPLE HUNDREDS , SOMETIMES THOUSANDS OF OUR BLOODY HARD EARNED CASH , MOTORBIKES AREN'T EXACTLY A CHEAP HOBBY ARE THEY , BLUE FLAME HAVE GONE FROM DE BEERS TO RATNERS IN MY OPINION AND I'M JUST DOING THIS TO WARN OTHERS TO BE CAREFUL AND CHECK WHAT YOU'RE ACTUALLY BUYING TO AVOID BEING MUGGED OFF LIKE MYSELF , RANT OVER.

Now, I've never had anything from blueflame and wouldn't be able to rate them as good or bad.

What it looks like to me though is your clip broke because it was rusty as hell! And you may have been sent the wrong exhaust, wrong model year?

Have you tried contacting them and saying "the exhaust you sent doesn't seem to fit my bike properly and there's a bracket missing" or instead did you put the exhaust on and leave it for months before deciding your own bodge job wasn't any good?

There is twisting on the 'bolt head' end of the clip/clamp that looks more like it was over torqued when fitted. That could stress the clip then repeated hot/cool cycles caused expansion contraction until it failed.

The clip could have been done up too tight due to leakage if the pipe diameters were miss matched. It should have slipped on over the down pipe or collector exit. If it was a rattling fit then the clip would have to crush the pipe of the can which would then stress the clip.

Get that pipe slit more with a cutting disc, and fit a new bracket and tighten it up. Then for the bolt hole, just buy one of those universal exhaust clamps with a rubber surround.

You could aye slot it enough with a hacksaw if you don't have access to a cutting disc.
