hi all,
mate of mine has aquired a yamaha neos ped.(2003, got it for nowt)
came with no keys, which isnt a problem, as im perfectly capable of replacing the ignition lock.(i presume it involves removing every bloody rusted screw holding on umpteen panels)
query : where is the actual seat lock?
currently the seat is un-locked & it obviously locks, as i can see the catch! but where the hell is the actual key hole?
sounds stupid, i know, but i cant see any obvious places.
anyone care to enlighten?
cheers,
GAZ

On most mopeds you just twist the key the opposite way then you would to start it and it pops open the seat catch.

Behind the scenes there should be a cable running from the ignition to the seat catch; anti-clockwise twist of ignition normally pops open the seat, it's usually marked on ignition face.
