The government are the ones doing it are they not?

More time and money for them is a good thing,

for a start they are not going to give a fuck.

It's changing, I highly doubt 100,000 sigs would change anything, let alone 7.

Thumbs Up

Very fair point, and i agree with you, but there are also people like me who has purchased a 400, spent a stupid amount of time and money trying to get the bike to a good standard. Started planning a trip over europe for july 2013, to only get these annoying laws appear and ruin all my plans. I have got my module 2 next wednesday for the second attempt. So i will see what happens. But as i said fair point. Thumbs Up

I refuse to sign something that appears to be drawn up by a crying 17/18 year old.

Sorry, but the structure of your petition screams naivety.

I imagine there is a valid argument in there somewhere, but the way it's written can only confirm that the governments decision was a good one...

Either stop throwing your toys out of the pram, or spend some time writing a decent petition, with constructive points to back up your argument.

I can't put my name to such a poorly written petition. The author should've left it to someone else with a bit more of a clue.

They have managed to make a thorough dogs breakfast of getting a bike licence but have managed to ignore the car test that still leaves a 17yo legally able to pass the test and walk into a dealer who will sell them a one ton 200mph supercar.

That puff from one direction bought an Audi R8 after just passing his driving test, if the government actually thought about something for once they'd bring out a law to restrict it so it would only have the power to obtain motorway speeds but obviously all bikers are idiots that have a deathwish...

Yes and no, At 17 the insurance would have been hideous for someone to drive a 150 mph car, However to ride a gixxer 6 or similar at 17 wouldn't have cost that much more then a 33 bhp bike.

What I think really needs to happen, Is rather then saying people under 19, It needs to be based on how long you've had your license. I'd like to see the statistics of crashes showing people who take their test as a midlife crisis and then get a blade and crash straight away. Against the number of crashes had by younger riders.

I suspect the majority of younger riders crashes are either hitting the back of a vehicle stopped at traffic lights, Or on their own not involving another vehicle whereas i suspect older riders are the ones that cause the expensive claims.

You'll need go back in time 6 years and firebomb strenuously lobby Brussels to get these laws halted. It's a done deal. Vote UKIP or lump it, we have no choice in the matter now.

also just another perspective

1 petition for refusing these laws gets 10m votes = win

instead we seem to have

100 petitions for refusing these laws each with 100000 = lose
