Provided it doesn't affect the actuation of the lever, I don't see why it should. As far as I can remember, there's nothing about lever reach adjustability mentioned in the MOT guidelines.

I would be a bit concerned about how much play there is in the lever with the reach adjuster missing.

I guess if its adjusted correctly and without excess play it'd be ok

Ah, span adjuster between the main pivot part and the actual lever.

Suppose they might fail it on An insecure brake control or mounting.
