So this morning I took my Mod 2, passed with 3 minors Very Happy

1. Hesitated at lights turning right, this was due to the car coming up to the lights in the opposite carriageway creeping forward

2. Road positioning, I was sitting a little wide on a corner or two on a small country road section

3. Cut a corner slightly when turning right, realised I did this as I did it but never mind!

Overall an enjoyable ride and a fantastic examiner, she followed in a car and was very clear throughout. Not bad for 2 months riding and zero lessons Very Happy

Now to get a new bike....

Was this Annette at St Helens? She is really nice, and thankfully very forgiving!
Congrats on the pass, Brother.

I really wanted to be able to say that too, but I've had to book my MOD2 via an instructor because that was that only way in hell I would be able to find a slot in time to get it done before I leave the country on november 24th and don't come back until new year, when the rules change! So I'm having a day's training (might do me good) and finishing with the test.

Booking my MOD2 privately was a minimum 6+ week wait locally! In fact most places seemed that long, apart from a lot of sites in Scotland.

I had a few week wait for my tests, booked them as soon as I had done my theory test!

New bike wise I'm thinking of something like a ZXR400, although many people are suggesting just going straight for a 600 instead as you can get a lot more bike for your money that way. I'm still open minded as to what I will get, and shall be trying my best to wait for the right bike to come along...although I'm not sure I have the patience to wait more than a couple of weeks....

Brilliant job, good on you for just getting it done. I found being followed in a car much less distracting than by a bike, but either way, that was ace. Thumbs Up

Same! It made it feel a LOT more likea casual ride out rather than an examination.
