selling my bike

Thinking of getting my bike sold as I would like another. However I've looked on ebay and my bike (not mine, but the same ones) don't seem to be doing very well! Its an 05 zx636.
Further my bike has only the nose fairing which is satin black along with the petroleum tank (don't ask) the rest of the fairing is knackered!
Do I spend a bit over winter and get it looking right, then try and sell it on in the hope of achieving a good price, or do I stick it in the auction and take what I can get! Obviously I can't just give it away but I m a realist.
apart from the lack of fairing its in good condition with some nice extras a good ten months Mot an a good service history.
Any thoughts or experiance out there on my conundrum?

not many people buy bikes at this time of year, if you can hold on until march/april next year you'll get more for your bike.
however if you're buying it's a great time to buy.

you may get more on trade in this time of yr .. just keep pushing for more ..

people just don't want a bike in the winter. If your desperate to sell it then I guess you should take what you can get but as said you maybe better off holding out until you the weather starts to brighten back up. Maybe use the time between now and then to get the fairing's sorted as that may attract more attention.

I was thinking of some chink fairings, apparently they fit quite well!! still as Zendog says i need to weigh up the costs of fixing her up etc vs selling as it is..
