Hi guys
still very new to biking and I have only just bought my first bike, which is a Suzuki Marauder 125.
the bike has just passed its MOT and is very low mileage, a real find for me I think.
Anyway my question is, when the bike is cold I have no problem getting it into neutral. However when she is warm it takes me ages to find neutral and I am up and down through the gears trying to find it.
Is this normal or is there something going on that I need to look at or adjust or something
cheers

Try being a bit gentler with the gear lever Wink

Knock it down to first gear and gently half lift the lever. Sorted. Thumbs Up

There may be too much oil in it.
Had that on the Kawasaki GT550 when warm. Would only go into neutral if I switched it off. Oil change sorted.

If bike new to you I'd recommend an oil and filter change anyhow as you may not be certain when last done (any receipts excepted of course).

I'll have the oil and filter changed because as said I dont know when it was last done. I'll also have a look at the clutch cable.

Some bikes can be a bit tricky for finding neutral, but you normally get the knack after owning it for a while. Higher revs can help get it to flick through the gearbox.

Most definitely this!!!! Adjust it to the amount of cable slack the handbook tells you when the engine is properly warmed up rather than when it is stone cold.
