I know about muffs and heated grips and good gloves, overgloves. But looking for any bcfers who use handguards only and say gortex gloves, and the effects on lessoning windchill etc Karma

Fyi ... mainly 20 miles hoons where in COLD winter months, your hands soon get ..... cold. Idea

Only thing that might be a problem would be wind up the sleeves.
Wear a fleece underneath and that's sorted though.

I have the Wind deflectors on top of the Mirrors of the Pan. Which is just enough to push the wind flow above the bars, I never had them on the last Pan for £13 they are its well worth it.

If i was going far often, would get rng grups, but i like the renthal race grips i've just put on. Can't do any handguards that connect to the bar end.

The only thing i dont like so much about the renthal ones linked, is the draft holes as it were, though i still think they would do a good job as it were.

Not worried about sleeves, and the few replies here have not said what improvement they saw pre and after guard install. Idea Thumbs Up

My Barkbusters attach by clamps to the bars not to the bar end. They are roughly £80 though. Confused

I put the wrong one in the link sorry. (I am right in thinking that you don't have clip ons?)

FWIW I understand the hand guards from the 1000 VStrom can be adapted via a dremmel to fit a wide range of other bikes.

Again they're not a cheap option thought to hack around with. Best check with bike owners club to check the specifics.

I have the standard handguards on my TransAlp and wind-chill last night was -3 celcius, 25 miles no problem with GoreTex winter gloves.

Thats equivalent to a warm day.
On Thursday I drove 165 miles at an average of 70+ when it was about 2 degrees so somewhere around -30+ windchill, I use muffs for this reason.
