Yea I will be doing mod 1 and 2 in the future. I bought this as its cheap to run, insure and tax. Only using it to commute to work and my parents. I also know its completely different to a geared bike.

I just want some confidence with powered 2 wheels, taking baby steps. As I had my collar bone smashed by a cager 2 years ago whilst cycling.

get your self to a school and they may let you have a go on a 500cc bike, if you can ride that off the bat then you should have no problem

it might give you confidence on 2 wheels, but this is time you could be spending learning how to brake and use your gears properly on a small geared bike.

the fuel economy is still there with a geared bike, so if it is at all possible, try to step up as soon as you can.
