Shrooms!

I've thought quite a bit over the years about doing shrooms, but finally after being let down on an offer to get some a week ago I've delved into research..
Now knowing roughly the characteristics of what I was looking for and where to find them, my (our, me and my mate) second hunt after a few days of rain, mist and sun seem to have yielded good results, with up to 64 potential Psilocybe semilanceata (Liberty Caps) drying in the airing cupboard (not the usual method I know but we'll see)... Spore prints also pending.

I'm just waiting on a ID over at Shroomery, If we're golden then we plan to undergo out first voyage tomorrow afternoon.


Am quite excite.
I've already got an idea about where we're going to go and what I'm going to take with me, but has anyone got any suggestions or recommendations for material?
I'm thinking of going to a park /woodland and avoiding the potential perils of most of the hills.. music, (though I might need to knock up a chilled/trippy playlist fastlike) Lemonade, wata, doodlebook and colours etc.. Cyalumes and some string, oh and I've read about mirrors too, sounds like fun.

Also, this thread is now "best trip experiences", LSD, MDMA or anything similar, get the furk over here!

Went to Amsterdam for the weekend in 2001 with a group of about 20 lads. We'd been taking coke, weed and pcp all weekend. Loads of incidents before but on the Sunday we found a place that sold mushrooms (cubensis I think.)

I remember being somewhere in the city cente with another lad, tripping off our tits and laughing hysterically. I noticed some bloke with his wife. He was wearing this black leather jumpsuit thing and must have thought I was laughing at him. He started shouting at me in dutch so by this time I was laughing at him. I was creased over laughing and he was hitting me on the back of the head. My mate was lying on his back, rolling around laughing.
Anyway, he fucked off and I was now tripping really bad and the whole world seemed cartoonish. We got back to the hotel, packed and got a taxi in the airport, laughing all the way. Got to the airport and tried to walk through the metal detector with a fucking big radio in my hand and weed, money etc in my pockets. Security stopped me and I could see all my mates on the other side laughing and pulling funny faces. That set me off giggling.
Somehow managed clear security and got on the plane and we had the whole plane laughing.

Got out of Liverpool airport without incident. Was on our way home in my mates rangerover when he crashed it into a bollard cos he was tripping.

Was a very strange day and not one I would care to repeat but I'm glad I tried it.

I was a little bit dubious of what we were picking earlier, and it turns out according to the good folks at Shroomery that what I have here are Panaeolus, which I half suspected, only one liberty cap in the whole lot!

I was on a hitchiking trip in France with a mate years ago and ended up taking acid he'd had in his wallet in Cherbourg ferryport. He was asleep on a bench and I was bored, so I tried one of my keys in a bike padlock and it unlocked (!) - so I thought I'd do a tour of Cherbourg on a stolen pushbike at night, tripping and with no lights.

A police car came in the opposite direction, I acted cool, and they didn't stop! Bloody lucky - the situations you get yourself into at 17 eh?

Most of those look dead.. They probably have the little white grubs in them.

They are simple to identify yourself, you are looking for the pronounced nipple on the top and the dark purple gills below.

Don't believe anyone who tells you there are similar looking poisonous mushrooms because there isn't.

You will need to eat around 40 of them to feel anything, usually closer to 60 for a decent dose.

Personally I wouldn't eat the majority of the ones you've picked as they are rotting.

Tried mushrooms once, was sick, fell asleep. Clearly picked the wrong ones, hah!

Had lsd once, very deep trip, almost out of this world, but not quite. Can't describe the feeling really, but after doing a bit of research into the levels of LSD trips, I found mine was probably level 2.5, (maximum being 4). It was a long experience. Not particularly life changing or mind altering as such, but fuck me I was blissfully away with the fairies for hours, moping around with two mates on a cold december morning, frosty ground, etc, pilled off our faces after a rather good rave we'd been to. We were all completely lost in the experience.

I'd never do it again though, after seeing my mate have a bad trip who is only now, 5 or so years later, recovering from the insanity he created for himself by doing too much weed, ketamine and the likes, which all spiralled his mind out of control when the bad trip happened.

My brother did magic mushrooms one time and said the next day things were still swirling about at work. Hah!

I actually did acid one other time later too, at a little local music festival, but drank too much alcohol so all I remember is waking up next to a small pile of my own sick in my tent! Felt spaced out for the whole of the next day, went to work and just... felt this strange... connection .... with things...

Ok sorry but I don't want to let this thread sink into obscurity just yet.. Been too lazy to post back as things have just been as hectic as ever, Internets not a priority bar the tubes atm.

I haven't managed to return to the field for a proper look as of yet, but the weather has been perfect.
I have however got into contact with my oldschool gang and most of them have done it all, so this week an old bud of mine is going to sort me with a sufficient quantity of Psychoactive Truffles, Sorted!

So I understand they aren't as potent as most shrooms but that they do more or less have similar effects.. It's a shame I couldn't sort any sooner because as it was my birthday on Friday a manager at work very sensibly rota'd me to have yesterday off.. and the hangover was immense, it would have been the perfect day asides.

But keep it coming guys, what are good little devices you've used when inhibited? Also not enough tales, I want to hear of some far out shit, PM me if you don't care to divulge in public.

There's no other toys I can suggest but you might try finding some good animations and trippy films. Here's one I loved as an acid-head, It's Disney but don't let that put you off - it's one of the maddest films to watch whilst tripping..

Do you really have to eat 40 to 60 of them? Isn't that LOADS?

What's that equate to in grams, as dosage with psychadellics is not something to be taken lightly especially when eating IMO, but I haven't tried!
