Basically, is it possible to restrict a 1986 CBR1000F to 25KW/33bhp?

Due to financial difficulties, my dad had offered to let me have his bike for the winter - since it would be stored in his shed otherwise - provided that it can be restricted. I appreciate it's not the best option, but if it can be done, then it should be alright for the meantime.

It can but it won't be good at all.

Heavy and probably no restrictor kit available.

The muggers at FI International list them from 1987 onwards, at their usual price.

I'd talk to the local dyno places about a throttle restriction solution instead. That said, the last chap I saw who had one done was billed £180 for the privilege, so it may not be much cheaper. Sad
