hey guys.

after rebuilding this bike (didn't touch the engine just most other bits). it runs fine, ticks over great, starts with no choke, pulls away faster than my other CB650. but when you (won't say race) but high rev it, especially in top gears, the engine will 'miss' or drown, not sure what one though.

Also when the engine is cold and you start it, and try and rev it, it will drown, pop a bit n stop.

would anyone know how to resolve this?

i can't work on the bike untill the insurance people come round, but all suggestions would be nice. cheers

Hi

Old fuel would be one suggestion. Also check the diaphragms in the carbs, and also the ones under the covers on the sides of the carbs.

Also quite possible that the accident just dislodged a load of rubbish in the tank which has now got into the carbs.

All the best

Keith

1), too old to have fuel pump:P.
2) not the diaphrams, i checked them.
3) this was before the accident, as i can't touch the bike, till the insurance co. look at it.
