Morning all,

I'm sure the majority are aware of this but I just received my pink license and it is considerably different to the old pink license.

It contains every license with the ones you have passed have a date in the box next to them (I think like the NI card??)

It also has the new entitlements on it at the top
A1
A2
And A

For example I have my Cat A, B, C , C+E and H, However my license will show every license available except the ones I have obtained are in bold with a date on them

It seems the ball is rolling for the new changes in 2013! Thumbs Down

Well being in the armed forces I received all my licenses before my actual pink license but me and a few mates have only just received this license (we sent it off maybe 2 weeks ago?) Very Happy It seems everyone is getting this new license card who has recently sent it off

Oh, they've finally started putting the upgrade dates for <=25kW. Talk about shutting the stable door after the horse has been melted down into glue. Rolling Eyes

Dafuq is it showing A2 when that doesn't exist yet? Eh?

Not aimed at you, the DVLA have been tarding this up for years by putting "A2" under previous entitlement on the counterpart instead of "A<=25kW". Because shut up, that's why (to paraphrase their reply slightly).

Well, I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash, and insurers and Plod will be fully informed of the changes and won't be at all confused by them, and also I'll be having Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny over for dinner tonight.

It shows AM
A1
A2
Then A (A >25 kw comes under the category of A with a little note on the side)
It just seems A2 is there for the new licenses and all the old licenses including >33bhp are classed as 'A' with a little side note stating restrictions Twisted Evil

Mine was like Souleh licence card.
But the new card has a table of all available licences entitlements, with dates next to those you hold.
Doesn't look as neat in my opinion Thumbs Down

I told them that I know a Man Friendly Lesbian: they called bullshit on it and are coming round to see if she really exists.

Why have they included A1 aswel as A? Surely having A cancels out the need to display A1 Souleh? Rolling Eyes

Makes it easier for them to drop your entitlements when renewal times up Rolling Eyes

Yes. They never used to put a date on it. The entitlement kicks in 2 years after you pass, not when (or if) you get a replacement bit of plastic.

The usual caveats about Plod and insurers being clueless apply, of course.

Don't ever lose your pass certificate though.
