I know the model name and the VIN of some old frames I'd like to buy but no reg.

Is there anyway or a website I can put a model in and the vin and get the vehicle reg data on it?

Hi

Not sure there is any official legitimate way of doing it.

You might be able to get the info out of the bikes original importer. The DVLA could certainly do it if they wanted to but seem to refuse (and might well not allow the call centre monkeys to have the access to search info that way).

All the best

Keith

I sent in a V888 "Request by an individual for information about a vehicle" to the DVLA with £5 enclosed explaining the situation that I'm after only the reg from a VIN, model and make.

Most likely the wrong people to go to.

Just thought I might mention, don't think about contacting the DVLA they are morons and couldn't help whatsoever.

Not true.

Possibly a potential bike thief looking for ways to legitimise stolen bits.

Be warned.

Well you certainly appear to sound and behave like one of these.
