Many years ago out forefathers may have lost a leg during some war or other.
They'd return home, say "it was just a scratch", roll up one trouser leg and get on with their lives.

Nowadays if someones benefit payment is 30 minutes late they are whining to the Daily Mail about their Human Rights and complaining about how "little Johnny" (who is "speshul" cus he's ADD (i.e. a naughty little bastard)) can't pay this months instalment on his xbox subscription cus of the "guverment" screwing them over and OMG they're gonna whine on Facebook and Twiter cus they are just sooo picked on and deserve special treatment cus they are on benefiks and are well, like, speshul, innit !!

And now there's been a bit of blustery weather in America, they are all turning feral cus they can't get "gas".

Grow up you whining muppets!!
Shit happens.
Get over it and get on with your lives !!


p.s. I know merkins shouldn't be expected to display a "Stiff British Upper Lip" but really they should be a tad more civilized than that even though they comprise just 5% of the world population (but think they are 95% of it).......

Not looking for Russel Howard's "It's not all doom and gloom" candidates (although the latest one (the bird whose hands hurt so she paints with her mouth instead) are all a bit "wussy").

Generally the great unwashed public (of not only this country but Planet Earth in general) have somehow "lost the plot" when it comes to taking responsibility, manning up and getting on with it themselves.

How are we going to progress as a species when we always have an excuse for our behaviour or devolve "responsibility" to someone else because it's easier than accepting responsibility ourselves?

don't consider my self British, I'm Scottish and all that stiff upper lip went out with the empire

me personally, I get off my ass and make the best of a bad situation
personally right now I'm doing Ok I started my own company and employ people
don't rely on subsidy's or benefits
as a household we get no benefits what so ever, son is at collage
other works, as does my Mrs
daughter moved out own place and working as well as Uni

we have no debt and reasonable income to cover our costs
can't stand the "oh dear woe is me" culture

change, adapt or stagnate

Good question.

It seems every other cunt want's everything for nothing.

I know some plebs that play xbox all day everyday, say the same thing every night over and over again about MW3.

And I hear remarks like 'When I get paid...'

Getting their 'money' every two weeks from the government is how they live. Playing xbox = living. How the government fail to see this is beyond me. (Infact thinking about it they are probably aware of the issue they just can't be fucked to change it because it's easy and get's them out the way?)

End of the day they are fucking their own lives up.. no job experience or anything. Just flat out COD in their bedrooms.

So in answer to where has it gone I have no idea

I blame the parents.
