Hi all,

I'm looking to sell my bike in the next few weeks in order to fund my full licence and go towards a bigger bike.
I have a black '58 plated Honda CBF 125, 2444 miles, I'm the second owner. Sound order mechanically, tiny bit of rust on chrome part of exhaust pipe is only downside. MOT / Tax until next July. Heated hand grips are only added extra.

Before I enter into any negotiations or start receiving offers, can anybody offer their opinion on what a fair price would be? I've got my next bike lined up from a friend, so I'll be selling privately not p/ex.

Many thanks to all in advance.

Hi, You may be able to remove the rust using autosol and fine wirewool.

With regards to price, you might get £1500 for it. It's low mileage, and 125's always sell quite easily. Maybe more. I got 1600 for a CBR 125 last year with 4k on the clocks. Have a look on ebay and some finished listings, that will give you a better idea.

HTH

Should easily get £1500 for it dude. I would list it at between £1600-1700 to leave yourself open to a little haggling. Good luck with the sale.

I live in London and before buying my VanVan teh other week, I was looking at 125 CBFs.

The low mileage goes in its favour but the age may drag down teh price.

As an example, some of the ones I looked at (all in good order with no rust) were:

Jan 2010 (59 plate) - 5k miles and 4 services by main dealers - £1,200
July 2011 (11 plate) - 1,500 miles and 1 main dealer service - £1,600
March 2012 (12 plate) - 900 miles and 1 main dealer service - £1,700

I hope that gives you some idea of what you might get. Probably advrtise it for £1,500 and see what offers you get
