Hi all, newbie(ish) to bike riding and storing, and have been given advice on storing the bike (ER6F) over winter. Adding a fuel stabiliser, topping the fuel tank etc and have a few questions :
Is the stabiliser to stop the petrol from going off? If so, how long does it take for the petrol to go off? Or is the stabiliser to stop any moisture build up in the tank?

I am hoping to go out on it at every opportunity over the winter (bar snow and ice) so should I even bother?

Give it a liberal coating of ACF-50 too, that stuff is brilliant for protecting against winter roadsalt and general corrosion, they even use it on small aircraft!

Brush on the ACF 50, if you spray it on it gets all over you brakes etc and is a waste as well given its quite expensive.

Why not continue riding? No real need to be off the road at all unless the snows lying hard and frozen

Get some fur on yer nuts

I will try to ride as much as possible though snow and ice will frighten the bejesus out of me. Besides, I'd rather get me nuts on some fur Shocked

The ACF-50 is a great idea. I'll see if I can get some tomorrow.

Thanks !
