Failed today due to me going through a amber traffic light, examiner said he judged it possible to stop within the said distance safely, I explained that I did genuinely not feel safe stopping within the distance with the greasy damp road so carried on through.

After the test I found out I had only obtained 1 minor during the rest of the test! Safe too say I'm very wound up!

Next time will be the time!

Bad luck! Sounds like you'll nail it easily next time. Getting a good mod 2 date shouldn't be as hard as getting a mod 1. Every mod 1 fail frees up a mod 2 slot.

they really should change it so an amber light is a minor error not a frigging serious fault.

theres no logic to it. the examiner should know that its a riders personal judgement wether or not its safe to stop.

toss pot cant argue that because "he judged it in his personal oppinion that it was safe to stop"

sounds to me like he was looking for a reason to fail you and that gave him the oppertunity.

Questionable fail or not, i failed and it gives me more of a reason nail it next time!

I dont know how they can justify making this particular manouver a major when it is down to personal judgement either, especially given road conditions, speed etc, i wasnt going too fast and i took into consideration of road conditions also.

I just think the examiner forgot he was 20ft behind me and not next to me, maybe he would think twice then, who knows

Oh bugger.

Well now. Considering that you only had single minor then as long as you won't go all beserk and watch amber lights you should nail it next time Thumbs Up

Keep us posted how it goes will ya?

Don't understand why he'd fail you on an amber, it's perfectly legal to go through one.

As Teflon Mike pointed out to me there is more to it than the faults on the sheet, ride like normal next time and you'll ace it Thumbs Up

Toss pot can and will. I appreciate you're butthurt about the system at the minute, but if he judged it dangerous, then who are you to argue? I'd usually give the nod to the years of experience.

OP, hard luck mate. I blew through a red on mine - no question. Gutted, as I had one minor too and I was literally three corners from the test centre! Crying or Very sad

Good luck for December Thumbs Up

True, but you are supposed to stop for them, and it's not a test of legal vs non-legal.

OP, were you slowing down while approaching the lights? If not, why not? Show that you've recognised a potential need to stop, you'll get Attitude Points.

I had just come off a roundabout and could see the said traffic lights around 100m away, they had just turned green at that point, upon seeing this i figured i would get through fine, so did not hesitate to slow down much i must admit, he later told me that those particular lights did have a very short turnaround time in terms of green/red, god was he right haha.

I'm not posting here to blame the examiner at all if that is what anyone thinks! A fail is a fail regardless, and yes while i could of slowed down i felt i dealt with them in the best way i could given what i had observed coming up to said traffic lights and road conditons etc

no, you dont need to be filled in on this because bomberman is taking something completely out of context as per usual. so as far as im concerned he can bend over a lorry and take a scaffhold pole up the ass until he can taste it.
