Yamaha SR125 chain adjustment

How on earth do you adjust the chain on a SR125?

I've never seen an adjuster like the one on this!

It looks like a big number nine with different size holes going up the back of it.

It looks like this? That's a weird adjustment mechanism, I'd assume that you just turn the 9 shaped thing, which will push the rear axle backwards or forwards, as it's not a constant diameter.

Obviously you slacken the rear wheel nuts first.

Nice one, thats the same adjuster as the one on mine (although mine is covered in more crap than that)

I've always known those things to be called snail cams for the simple fact that they look like a snail! I would've thought you'd have exactly the same thing on the left hand side too which cant be seen in the pic,you adjust them by undoing the main wheel bolt and turning each cam equally by tapping them round lightly with a hammer,make sure that they are both on the same notch else you're wheel is going to be out of line.
