Bed Linen, how often do you change and wash your bed linen?
I usually do it weekly, although on womans hour on radio4 a while back most changed between every two to four weeks.
Reason I'm asking is that doing my washing this morning realised it had been two weeks since I had changed the bed and I felt dirty because of it.

Weekly, as you say - much more than that and it feels filthy. Plus the feeling of getting into a clean bed is awesome Cool

Weekly, usually one of the things i do on sundays (my life's a 'strap yourself in and ride the chaos' type whirl of excitement and adventure Rolling Eyes ). But it does occur to me on a sunday night sometimes that i forgot so i do it the next day (see what i mean about excitement and adventure!)

Weekly, or twice a week if it's really hot. Pillowcases only get one or two nights' use, though.

Every week the sheets and duvet covers and pillow cases get washed. Saturday morning is laundry. Monday the maids are here to iron everything.

The reason it is saturday, is that saturday is kids sports day. So wake up and put the laundry in, then sports. Leaves sunday free.

I used to let the maids wash as well, but then you rely on it being sunny to get ironed the same day. Just as easy to put it in the machine myself.

No way will I let the sheets sit for more than a week.

You must do a lot of washing if you change your pillowcases that much. Shocked

Nah, they don't take that much space. And, if they only get that little use, they can be washed with normal 40C laundry, instead of the 60-90C you normally use for bedding.

3-4 weeks sounds about right.

I have a shower/bath almost every night so washing them weekly seems pointless to me.

You will stay cleaner sleeping in your bug and mud splattered bike jacket then in some of the sheets on here....

Im suprised mushrooms arent being harvested in some of these beds Mr. Green

very well then, how often do you lube your chain, or do you let it sit with crud on it for a month? Mr. Green

Should I change my seat if some bird has wet herself after riding pillion? Or should I leave it until it leaves marks like a snail trail? Laughing

On my own at uni - they never got washed until uni finished and I was back for summer (9-10 months ish). They would feel cold, greasy and a bit damp by the end of it and would change colour after a wash. Girlfriend occasionally cracked and washed them halfway through the year.

Now, living with a woman - no idea, fairly frequently though.

Im not Laughing

Every two weeks for me, but since I generally only sleep at 'home' about 3 days a week its not like I get full use of it.
