An old one? Laughing

€2000 is about £1300ish, so I dont think you'll have much choice for a newer one, especially a Mito, they can be anything from £2200 to £3500! Shocked

Should be able to pick up an older RS in generally ok condition, maybe from about 1998 or an Extrema model.

Need to be careful when buying old though, could have a nasty history for brake downs and seizures.

I think ebay will be a good place to find one. Thumbs Up

My RS125 (1998) rusted pretty badly with only one winters use, I wouldnt of liked to use it another winter, So make sure theres no rust on the usual things (Bolts, pegs, subframe etc)

You deffo wanna check when it was last rebuilt or how meny miles its done, If it's done anything over 10,000 miles chances are it'll need a new topend soon.

If it's been resprayed ask why? (Well we all know it's because it's been crashed but try to get more info)

Well, I live in Sweden but I'm going to search after bikes in Germany.

The prices are ridiculous here in Sweden. Really hard to find a Mito Evo 95 under 3000 Euro, it's sick I know. The prices are much lower in Germany.

Bought my Mito for 1400 Euro, it had the big bore Polini kit and it was a 95. But it wasn't in the best shape so I sold it here in Sweden for 24000 Euro.

Now I have a larger amount of money to get me a bike, so I hope I'll get one that will run without problems, which is according to you guys possible with my money.

Supposed to be 2400 Euro.

Edit: I have a Aprilia RS on the hook right now.

It's a beauty, isn't it?

It's on ebay, buy it now for 1999 Euro or bid, starting at 1600 Euro. Regarding to him, these things have been changed: Cylinder, Piston, Cylinder head, piston rings, various gaskets, crankshaft. He's only driven around 1000 km with the new stuff. It's a 97. Mileage is around 11000-ish kilometres.

Seems great, any thoughts about this one?

But the thing that bothers me is: Why change everything so soon? The mileage isn't that high, and it sure shouldn't need a fresh crank shaft or fresh gaskets.

And what about the piston and cylinder change that early?

Why bother asking, when you know what I'll say, haha Laughing

Yeah, we do have some crazy winters, but luckily I live in Gothenburg, west coast of Sweden which isn't that cold as the northern parts.

We get to ride for 5-6 months, before the snow takes over. But it doesn't stop some of the crazy swedes, put on some ice tyres with spikes and you'll have great fun below zero degrees Rolling Eyes Hard to imagine, right?

Yeah, I know about mobile.

It looks like I'm going to buy a 2000 with 13000 km on the clock for 2000 Euro.

Its possible that the owner managed to seize it. If he's changed the crank shaft it might of locked up but also damaged the top end. Either way, if you decide to go for it, it'll save you the job of rebuilding it for yourself in a few thousand miles. Thumbs Up

Looks lovely too! Drooling
