Check your bike over to make sure it's okay.
After that get straight out there on some roundabouts and start leaning until you're easily leaning over a respectable amount.
If you don't get comfortable again with leaning now you'll build up a mental block in your mind which will be harder to overcome in a few weeks/months time and you'll forever hate corners. So get out and ride ____________________ 2004 R1 & 2018 XSR900 |

You had a scare, but you`re still in one piece
Check all is good with the bike, and then back out there before you lose your bottle.
Good luck ____________________ I am the sum total of my own existence, what went before makes me who I am now! |

Yeah thanks for the tips guys!
I know I need to get back out and MTFU. I'll make sure to check over my pressures and stuff next time I venture out.
As for the I'm either gonna die or not comment. I would like to see past 25 though, I value my own little piece of this universe and want to see more of it before I splat out on a road
To be honest I just wanted to write down what happened because the internet is full of useless stuff so I might as well add to it. AND also find out if I did anything wrong and to check on stuff.
Thanks again ____________________ I'm Sam; Northern, Ginger, Lover

ZZR's are absolute bastards when riding with underinflated and/or worn tyres. My own nearly spat me off a couple of weeks back for no apparent reason. I checked the tyre pressures when i got home and the rear was down to 30psi from 41.
They are known to track badly on worn tyres, so a combination of worn tyres and low pressures is likely to be your problem. Also check front and rear wheel bearings, and your steering head bearings too. When you are happy with all those, THEN you should go out for a ride again, and try to regain your confidence in the bike.
I have complete faith in the handling of mine, but i now check tyre pressures regularly.
Hope you get sorted soon. ____________________ Current......Kawasaki ZZR1200 C2H and Kawasaki ZZR600 E7

If your rear starts slipping from too much power and you do nothing, you will crash.
I've spent the past week touring the west coast of Ireland. It's wet every day, often poor road surface, sometimes leaves on the road, etc.; country roads 5 hours a day. I've slipped on the rear several times over the past 1500 miles or so this week; spun up on a dual carriageway accelerating away from a roundabout; pulling out of muddy verges after stops; and going around tight corners for bridges not aligned with the modern course of the road. No crashes. If you maintain the same throttle input after the rear has started to slip, you'll lowside. If you chop, especially too late, you'll probably highside. If you ease off a little soon enough, you'll recover after more or less fishtailing.
Static friction is higher than dynamic friction. Once you've started to slip, you need to ask even less of the tyre to recover traction than would have been enough for it not to slip in the first place. ____________________ Bikes: S1000R, SH350; Exes: Vity 125, PS125, YBR125, ER6f, VFR800, Brutale 920, CB600F, SH300x4
