What I mean is, how much of the visor area is needed to be legal?

i.e. You had a vinyl wrap/air brushed on part of the visor?

Something like this...

I had mine done by the same guy and didn't get the visor air brushed but I wanted to double check because I might get another one from a different place.

Probably illegal but meh; if they do you for an illegal visor it's not crime of the century and it is non-endorsable.

i don't see it being any worse than an illegally tinted visor tbh, but those helmets would definitely bring more attention to them than a mirrored/black tint visor

Anything that "different" looking is enough to get you pulled really.

Whether or not you're commiting an offence is an entirely different matter.

of course, the other issue is, why would you want to reduce your peripheral vision?

i mean helmets can be restrictive enough in that respect without voluntarily making it worse.

as for it getting you pulled, yes, as stated, anything that different, because the plod would merely assume its illegal instead of knowing whether it is or not and fine you for it regardless.

Agreed - I'd be less worried about getting a lecture from the police, and more worried about failing to spot a hazard in time...

Still, it's only your life, why put safety above fashion...? Wink

This +eleventy.

Legal or not those lids will get you attention and probably (opinion) pulled to make sure they are legal and do you really want plod to pull you over just because he thinks you are wearing an illegal lid?

Besides you'll look a twat.
