On Saturday i completed my CBT
The instructor was the grumpiest cnut going ... i know it can't be easy teaching people who don't know how to ride but come on your meant to be helping me ...
the radio kept cutting out but he ignored it and then had a go at me for exiting the wrong exit when he told me to go 3rd exit so i did despite me pointing out his error he was having none of it.
He then bollocked me for doing too MANY lifesavers and then to top it all of he told me to smile ... the woman i was doing it with had to drop out because he was being a dick and rushing her.
I knew it was going to be difficult day when some silly bastard decided it would be a good idea to drive on the wrong side of the road and nearly take me off.
Anyway , looking forward to practicing on my pride and joy. |

Well done on getting cbt out of the way, but you describe your trainer as being a right dick. If this is the case you may benefit from asking the school who'll do your next training - ie das etc: if you're going that route as IME most schools have trainers for each specified aspect, one cbt, one for das, one for mod1 etc: etc:
If they follow suit then the chances are that it won't be the same guy taking you again & this could not only save you having to find another school, but also help to restore any confidence the pweeb may have knocked out of you. ____________________ I might not be a gynecologist, but I know a cunt when I see one |

Fuck's sake, grow a pair. You wouldn't pay any other tutor to abuse you, don't take it from some miserable twat who couldn't even get into the DSA.
Name and shame, tell his employer that he's guaranteed that they'll never see another penny from you, and rat him out to cbt@dsa.gsi.gov.uk (for continuing the on-road with a defective radio if nothing else).
There's few enough people getting into biking as it is, we don't need bad instructors putting them off at the first hurdle. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Definately go back to the school to complain. I know of a lass who was rushed during her CBT, the others we're re-taking for the 2nd time, and she was the only complete noob.
She wasn't allowed out on the road, but when she went back and told the owner about her experience, she now has one to one lessons from the owner for as long as it takes to get her through (free of charge)
She even has a lesson this Sunday, when the school is closed. Just shows that one instructor doesn't a bad school make.
Oh, and well done on getting the cert through difficult conditions. Just think, it'll be good training to keep your cool when all those cagers try to kill you ____________________ Honda Goldwing GL 1000 Current love

Don't complain for your sake, complain for the sake of the next poor bastard that gets dodgy training off the arsey git and ends up a smear at a roundabout because he rushed them.
Biking is a club, you're part of it now. But you only get to keep your membership by not being a dick to other riders. Not reporting a trainer who potentially risks other peoples' lives.....do the right thing |

As a noob too who only did my CBT in october, I definitly think it's worth making a complaint. I was the only noob in my class with 3 others who were all retaking, two were going for their test a week later. Despite this the guy I had made sure I was ready before going any further with each stage. He could tell I was nervous and did his best to relax me.
He also gave me a b0llocking at one point which was exactly what was needed.
If I had got the cnut you had I think I would have potentially given up on the idea, however now I have my YBR and am loving it. Not only that but I remember the advice I got from Sean and am trying to apply it everyday in every situation. Whilst I don't have much to compare it too, it would seem to me that is what you need from your CBT.
If all you get from a CBT is a certificate and a fear of an instructor it seems they have failed you! Definitely make a complaint of some kind.
Anyway, good work on getting through it |
