Well that is without doubt the crappiest weather I've had to go through on two wheels. Even the Zed was spluttering up steep hills (I think water was getting in the air takes Sad ).
Not sure what the rest of the country is like yet but the South West weather is minging which probably means if you haven't got it yet you will soon.

The weather was pretty bad on my commute into work this morning (in central London). I recently changed my visor/pinlock and haven't added a bit of Nikwax on it yet. Visibility was dreadful. Rode like a pussy.

What's the procedure for this?
Visibility was shit today. I've got an appointment for contact lenses on the weekend, hopefully that will help too!

Rain and shit visibility I don't mind, it's the howling wind with the occasional added gusts accompanied by leaves and twigs.
When it's that grim out there visibility is rubbish regardless of how many tweaks you've applied to your visor.

I spray a small bit of Nikwax "Visor Proof" on the visor and polish with a soft cloth. It seems to help *a bit*, making the water bead up better and more likely to roll off in the wind.

It's no miracle cure, though. Visibility likely would have still sucked.

I'm probably going to have to get some contacts too. I don't normally wear glasses, except for cheap 1x reading glasses sometimes, but age is starting to catch up with me. I'm still legal, but don't see as sharp as I used to, especially in the dark and rain.

Hah, weather is fine here (just a little wet and miserable). My hands were perfectly warm wearing my summer gloves this morning. Smile

Weather you are all describing has been like that up here pretty much since May! Rolling Eyes

Don't get me wrong, shit weather I don't mind (although balmy autumn days are best), it's getting handfuls of lumber thrown in my face at 90 that I find slightly unsettling.
At least down here we get pretty much all year round biking in (on sports tyres that is) Very Happy

I'm in my young biking years so I'll go out in everything except ice Laughing

Only problem is, everyone I know pretty much knows this so when I do the "can't make it into work, weathers really bad for the bike" excuse, they know I'm lying Sad

Weather's been alright for the last 2 or 3 weeks round Southend way, and today's nice. I'm either double hard, or we haven't had any of the bad weather you lot are moaning about yet. Wink

FFS - get back in the house before the game's up and we all end up getting dragged round the shops 'cos you've demonstrated an ability to leave the house with it. Wink

I believe it's quite normal for teens nowadays not knowing:
a) which bit of the country they're from
b) that anything north of Leeds is British territory (or even exists)! Rolling Eyes
