Hi Ollie,
My insurance was like £392 or something third party fire and theft. Have a look for Rampdale.. Might find you a better deal |

I paid £330 Third party only, same bike, at 18.
I found changing the mileage on the quote didn't even affect the price so you may aswell beef that up a bit.

£210 isn't bad for your age for that bike and in the present economic climate.
When I was 17 in 2009 I paid £165 TPO on a 4 year old YBR 125, after swapping to the Varadero the next year it climbed to £220 again TPO (strangely all my quotes increased in price with 1 years NCD and experience, put it down to economic factors).
Condsider putting the mileage up though it may not cost you much more, in fact for my VFR it was cheaper to put the mileage at 15,000 than say 3000, guess they figure if I'm doing more miles on it I'll be more careful, strange you'd think I'd be more at risk doing more miles. ____________________ Current: 02 FZS 1000 & 91 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Some Bike Pics...

It's not actually that high under the circumstances, it's a nick-me bike, you're a high risk rider.
Tried www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk? They usually find the cheapest for me.
That mileage is daft, definitely increase it (or be prepared to disconnect your speedo).
The other thing to try is TPF&T or even fully comp quotes with the highest excess that they'll let you put. Treat it as 3rd party only, but it might come out cheaper. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Cheers for all the replies. I thought they'd ever really know how many miles I'd do but it's not worth the risk if it's only a little more money. And I'm aiming to get a decent chain and disc lock. Perhaps even a hidden kill switch

£210 is quite a good price, i paid £230 on my first bike which was a suzuki gn125, come to think of it im currently paying £400 for a yam ybr 125 with a full licence!
as for the 1,000 miles a year... ive always insured mine for no more than 3,000 a year, and ive done 8,000 on my ybr since may this year (dont ask how, i dont know ).
'IF' you have a bump on it, you recently changed the clocks for some second hand ones from a breakers yard after they stopped working, remember ____________________ Current: 2005 Kawasaki Er-5 C5P
