Hi, I want to make my XL125 look a bit nicer

Does it have L-Plates?
They look a LOT better without. If fitted, my advice to make it look better is to work on getting licence to be able to ditch'em.
As for the loonie light..... nah.
Its an 'old' dirt-donk. Standard, you can call the styling 'classic'. Beat it up, bend stuff, you can call it 'battle scars' from off-road adventure.
Sticking modern futuristic bits of plastic out of the MPS catalogue on it will make it look GASH.
Effect wont be asthetically pleasing, and it will say you are 'cheap' and unimaginative. either too tight to fix a broke bike 'propper', but too inept to effect a decent bodge of your own, or it will say that what you REALLY wanted was a newer bike, but couldn't afford one, so appeased yourself stricking incongruously contemprary 'accessory' parts on it.

Custom does NOT come out of a catalogue.

As for how hard it would be to fit.... from my experience, probably easier to fit, with a coupel of gash cable ties than removing the original, that needs the top yoke lifted to take the OE lamp-brackets off......

is it an XL, old 80's tech OHC single, or is it an XR, newer, more contemprary thing, powered by retro-tech CG push-rod motor?

If an XL... the 'better' bike, leave it the fuck alone! revel in the fact that they "dont make'em like they yoosed-to!"

If it's an XR... well, its a knobly shod CG, basically... cheap, low-tech and dependable commuter with some aspirations and a bit of added funky-chunalaity. You can get away with a bit more from it; but custom still dont come out of a catalogue!
