Does the church create them, or does it attract them?

Eh, it won't stop until every one of the cult enablers who hush it up are prosecuted, convicted and jailed for conspiracy or accessory.

It's not just the god squad though. My school hired an Oxford don back in the 80s. If you're wondering why someone with essentially life tenure at a prestigious institution would leave to take a mediocre teaching job at a Scotch comprehensive, well, it was exactly what you'd expect. I'm astonished that anyone pretended to believe otherwise.

BREAKING NEWS:

Supreme Court rules that Catholic Church institute was responsible for alleged sexual abuse in landmark case

Quote:
A Catholic teaching institute is liable for alleged physical and sexual abuse at a former boys' school, the Supreme Court has ruled.

Claims of abuse are being made by 170 former pupils of St William's in Market Weighton, East Yorkshire.

Judges said the De La Salle Brotherhood was liable along with the Middlesbrough diocese which owned the school.

The BBC's Danny Shaw said it was a landmark ruling which could affect other claims of abuse at institutions.

Really? This bloke is Reverend Johns from our school.

He threatened to cane me once...I thought he had the cane in his pocket when he said it but now I'm not so sure it was a cane.

Hope the b'stard gets his in this life and the next when he meets his boss.

Happy days eh?

My bruv was telling me that the, not so, reverend, in question, lived in Northumberland, and hosted camping weekends for boys out in the sticks, FFS! Shocked

Yup, same with our "Oxford don". Here's the thing. If it looks like a nonce and talks like a nonce and then offers to take Little Johnny away to erect his tent pole, you don't give it the benefit of the doubt. Doh!

He didn't look or talk like a nonce, although he did wear a frock at weekends! Rolling Eyes
