Ordered something from Chain Reaction last week, they attempted delivery twice, and apparently couldn't gain access to the door of the properly. I live in a block of flats, so you have to be buzzed in. There is a trades button that the post office etc., but they still couldn't get in to leave a card.

I ring them up and ask for it to be delivered to a local post office. They agreed.

It doesn't turn up.

I ring them. They say this is because the parcel is too large.

I arrange for it to be redelivered to my work yesterday. They say it'll probably be there before half 3.

I ring them at half 4 when I leave work, and they say it's on the van, but they don't know when it'll get there.

It arrives at quarter to 7. I drive back to work and collect.

Then I find out that my parcel info has been stuck on a completely different box at some point and I've now received a load of acupuncture needles, rather than a load of bike bits.

Bah.

Maybe learn where in the body you need to stick the needles for calm and relaxation?

Interesting point, well made.

They're now "searching the depot". This will take until 2pm. I don't think I have enough needles.

Could be worse. Yodel would have just thrown the needles at you as they drove past.

Throwing rather implies that they'd put some effort into the delivery. I imagine it would've fallen out of their van about four miles from where you live, and you'd then get an earful of abuse if you dared to question their drivers' competence.

I notice the acupuncture guide avoids needles in the end of the penis - an excellent way of simulating dealing with the Porcelfarce

Parcel Farce still haven't found it, and it's a separate team that deals with the claim, so I need to set up a claim with them.

Just got off the phone to chain reaction and they need to double check, but should be able to get a new parcel out to me tonight.

Maybe you're right. Thinking

She did seem to chuckle when I asked if they sold acupuncture needles...

Best of a bad bunch IMO.

Nothing compared to Yodel. The shittest courier service in the world.

I have had massive parts left at my local PO before from parcel force.

Do a search to see my rant about Yodel. Laughing

They're more shite, Fedex/UPS please.

Chain reaction are resending and chasing up with Parcel Farce on my behalf. Heros. Thumbs Up

I've never used Yodel before, but a Christmas present for my sister has literally just been delivered by Yodel at 9:30pm is this normal?!

Parcel Farce attempt 1 delivery here and then take the item to the "Local" post office.
Once I ordered 15kg of Poultry grit, should of seen the old dears trying to move it from out the back, I wasn't allowed behind the screen to help.
Similar scenes when I ordered a new trolley jack and Breaker bar/sockets.
Post office is town centre with nearest parking at least 100yds away.
I wonder how less able bodied people get on. Doesn't seem to be much point paying for delivery if you still have to collect (and pay for parking) anyway.

Hi there

Can't be as bad as UPS lol, few years ago ordered a AirSoft rifle from china Wink contacted 2 weeks later for my details to import a RIF (realistic imitation firearm) gave them the info. Np with customs and was told a delivery date. Day came, whatched 2 UPS vans drive pass, no delivery, started getting lat so phoned the depo. I was told they could not find the address, strange as they had made a delivery the day before lol. Gave them the address and post code again. Told my parcel would be delived by 12 the next day. Next day same thing UPS van going past no delivery, phoned them after 1 to see where my parcel was ?

Yep they had sent it to NI Sad

Pitty I was only 16 miles away from there depo in Manchester lol

I then told them I would have to inform the police that a RIF had been sent to NI with my name on it as I did not want the armed police knocking my door down at home (have to love the armed police when they stop you on a main road on the way to a AirSofting site Wink yes handcuffs then pictures with all my RIFs lol, there eyes did pop a bit with the 40mm grenade launcher lol Smile

In the end UPS sent one of there managers to retrieve my parcel and bring it to me lol.
