Hi guys, anyone else had trouble with bandit carbs? I've cleaned them out twice now, and the two left cylinders are being starved of fuel.

I've added a petrol filter now, cleaned all the jets, and blown through the lines and still it won't run properly. Also checked the sparks and it has new plugs. (they work fine)

The two RHS cylinders fire absolutely fine, but the bastards on the left are just dead cold and won't run, even after idling for about 4 minutes.

For now I've dumped the carbs in a few litres of coke, it makes a good cleaner, so hoping it can get to places I can't to remove any rubbish.

Any other ideas peeps? Really not wanting to buy new carbs. Cheers.

Go try again with high revs like around 4k and with choke off if you can. See if the pipes heat up. The fuel channels for choke are different from pilot and main jets. On my GPz they were blocked and would not run on start up. Took me four strips and clean before i sused that one out.

I did with high revs, held it at about 7k with full choke, it stuttered, then dealt with it a bit better, but would still only run on two cylinders. Very weird. If I didn't use the choke I could rev, but my god it backfired like a beast.

No need for a compression test, the bike was running fine a few months ago. But I've since run it on reserve, and left it with a dry tank for a few months. I'm guessing it's clogged the carb (even though I've cleaned it)
