Hello chaps

I went to look at a 91 cg about a fortnight ago and it wasn't up to much but my budget wouldn't let me stretch any further. I decided to wait a few weeks and now I've got roughly £1000 to spend on a bike. I've found a 06 YBR on ebay with the only faults being a few scratches on the front mudguard and a few bits of wear as expected with an old bike.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160924416333

Just wondering if anyone could give me an opinion on whether it's a good purchase if its all running fine. Was also wondering whether I can find a newer bike for this price or is this the average price for a YBR of this age?

Hopefully I can get on the road by next week and throw my bicycle in a skip Thumbs Up

wow wait, hold up! Don't throw the bike in the skip!
Offer it part exchange, I know he said he was fine for mobile phones, pushbikes and designer coats... but he might like your bike!

But seriously, £1000 seams like a good price for that bike, here is another one, pretty much the same but for £1100 but its done 17k miles instead.

I think that guy is asking the full value of what its worth. No cheap deals there. Wink

I'd say It's well worth considering, only two previous owners for a 125 is pretty rare for any vintage, and the seller seems pukka.

looks decent. i had an '06 one too a couple of years ago, bought for £1100, sold for £1000 9 months later. If you take reasonably good care of them they keep their value, there's always gonna be learners looking for one!

Is the YBR in the lock-up behind that CG?

If you've got "roughly £1000" to spend, take it out in cash and go and buy a bike. Right now you're just licking the window.

That one's got no service history and 21,000 miles, and they don't actually thrive on neglect, so you can do better, or pay less. View the CLR, offer him cash on the spot.

And yeah wut that's a CG
I got a 2009 YBR for £1099 with 2500 miles, any problems i've had with it have been self-inflicted
