Just seen this on ebay (advertised at the bottom of the forum) makes me wonder if it really is like snake oil or do they actually work. Anyone ever heard/used them before Question

You can buy stabiliser, but that doesn't look like it. Looks like a lump of lead to me.

You can also put an eggcup ful of paraffin or meths in the tank before you lay it up, then top up the thing with a few litres of fresh petrol when you come to ride the thing again.

I'm calling bullshit on this product. By the time people realise that it doesn't do what is claimed, the seller will have moved on to his next ''wonder'' product.

me too, had my Mondeo stood outside for 3 months, drained the petrol out last week as it's off to the auctions, and 9 litres of it ran the bike last week no problems, the rest went in my Pug 306.

Years ago I worked in a call centre for the AA, I got asked about things like this loads of times, rang the tech guys at head office and got the reply. "Do you really work for this organisation? You are really asking this question?" Embarassed

I took that as an "No"
