Interesting.

Looks cool and specs are impressive. 95kg and adjustable suspension for £1999. Made in Germany what is rare.

Thanks for sharing Thumbs Up

Maintenance should be easy as everything is exposed.

Seems like an interesting commuter and maintenance learning bike.

The manufacturer claims 100kg dry weight. 105 will be wet weight, with that massive 5 litres of fuel onboard. I guess they don't really expect you to put oil in it...

They're made in China by 5r Motors (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., of course. Oh, did you think adverts have to tell the truth? Laughing

Trivia: it's under 120cc so not even suitable for sitting the new style A1 tests. Not that you would.

I look at that forward facing air intake, think about UK weather, and go "hmmm."

But if you had to deliver pizzas.......

I think it would make a cheap winter town bike. It looks different as well which is quite an achievment and it might tempt a few scooter riders off their wheeled toilets.

Oh, I like the idea and the look, but it's a Chinese bike with a tiny "tank".

I wouldn't expect it to like UK road salt much and my main concern would be parts. WeMoto stock only the most basic consumables.

Sorry, I meant... WAZZUP, COWABUNGA, DUDES! Or whatever those damn kids are saying these days.

I used to sell them, there was a 250 version too i think. Build quality was pants, cheap metal of poor quality used for nearly everything.

We were selling them about 6 years ago, this may be a newer re-vamped version or something, but I dare say it will still be pants.

Just checked and they were released in 2004.

Now that's answered a query. Whilst in Torbay yesterday I saw something that looked like a really nasty scooter chop but was a little confused by the square sub frame that the seat was sat on - it looked too much like it was an original feature.
I think it was one of these, they don't look any better in daylight than on the screen!

sorry looks like sh1t. Like theyve taken a kids bike and bolted an engine onto it, and meant for warmer climates.

Looking at that I couldn't help thinking "that's what a monkey bike wants to be when it grows up!".

Very Happy

Might make an interesting commuter in a city but limited by lack of storage and protection for that job.

Maybe it should fold like the pushbikes styled like that so you could pop it into the boot of a car and use like a park and ride Thinking

Did find Sachs Canadian site (clicky link) where you can have a play with colours and fitting a rack. For those that are saying designed for warmer climates, come on, Canada, warmer Rolling Eyes

Map, I thought it looked like a pumped up monkey bike as well. I still think it would be good around town for a cheap winter hack, just dip it in ACF50.

A couple of years ago I took a madass (50 or 125 - can't remember) in payment of a debt. It does look quite good in your picture but in the flesh I thought it looked like a Honda C90 with the plastic smashed off.

Only rode it once and it would wheelie quite well but was otherwise not that great. I did consider putting a bigger engine in it but in fairness it would have still been shit.

I see one of those occasionally around Shoreditch, looks like two drain pipes welded together.

first appeared as a 50, MCN had one for a test at the time and bent the frame

generic copy c90 motor, sleeved down to a 50 or taken out to 125 and more, as used in monkey bikes

drive chains were crap, LED back light failed constantly, ignition switch broke and could be started with key in ANY position, swing arms bent, wheels buckled, clocks failed but were just like something of a bicycle with a watch battery in. they were 1499 back then and after they sat in the shop 6 months unsold we then sold them for cost
