Wicked news all getting someone down to help me connect my powervale up even thuo im on L Plates which means that even if i fail on the 25th no hard fellings cause i'll be getting it connected up anyway, plus i've told him to try and get his hands on a racing CDI which means that the bike is gona be pulling through the revs like a "fray train"

Hold on tight!

Are you going to modify the CDI to get rid of the flat spot which is meant to be caused by some sort of emmisions regulator?

The CDI's are supposed to make a noticable improvement over the stock. Quite a few people have them fitted and say it revs so much cleaner than the stock.

Bit too expensive for my taste though. Razz

I wouldnt say it makes that much improvement! Laughing

Much better acceleration but it'll struggle to do more than 105mph actual speed, not from clock.

Still, should be a good investment if you plan to keep the bike for a while. Personally, I find stock performance more than enough, so dont see point in spending on something I'm completely satisfied with. Smile

Sheesh dude,.....are you really as gullible as I think you are, or are you just a troll, who spurges out any old cack?

I'll get to the point. No, your bike wont beat ANY CAR OR BIKE off the lights. Not now, not ever. hth...(if it is a rs125 we're talking about here)

Beat some, not a lot though....you're excited about your purchase, good for you, I'm happy for you, but dont be sucked into thinking your 125 is gonne be any better than any other rs125's...all their owners have hopes and aspirations, like yourself.

"well we fitted it and all i can say is my bike now revs like a screaming banshee, the cdi makes the bike accelerate miles quicker, which means i have now down geared so as to get a higher top speed with even greater acceleration"

Did he type in in invisible font that it would beat any car and bike off the lights?

Now come on old boy, yes, the acceleration will feel unreal, but thats because you're not used to it.....I thought that on my 125 when I first had it. Then I got a 500, and its a whole different ball game.

*senses another 125 argument

It will probably be a useful mod (albeit expensive) if you have the envorinmental dip or a restriction in the CDI, get's rid of that I suppose.

Erm, I would pay quite a lot to /not/ have acceleration like a train Confused. Smile

It will increase the power to weight ratio slighty, it will still be nowhere near a slightly bigger bike.
Obviously it's up to you if you want to spend more on a relatively slow bike to make it a bit faster, when you could probably sell your bike and buy a significantly faster bike as well as having change left over to insure it.
