I did get in touch with them (told them there is no such thing) and I did get a response... Laughing

The long and short being that it's a bitsa made from a CBR125 and an imported CBR150. Also words to the effect of 2 of their mechanics say "it's well fast, init blud". Brrrraaap!

So, I'd be curious as to what's the bhp on it, is it still learner legal?

I wonder which bits, the cam? Otherwise you'd get more than an extra 10mph.

Presuming it has the CBR150 engine fitted, it's no longer a CBR125 - it's only registered as such.

So, essentially it's got the 150 engine in it and they're misrepresenting it. Niiiice.

I'm presuming. Unless the 150 has a better head, cam, carb, &c., and they've been fitted to a 125 engine to make it develop more power.

Hi there, can you check on the side of the cylinder and confirm if it says 124cc or 149cc?

The bike you've pictured looks like an import CBR150R, not a CBR125R, and would not be legal for a learner to ride in the UK. All CBR125R's are full power as they were never restricted from the factory.

eBay seller wrote:
Hi. Is is without any doubt a 125cc engine. The 150cc model has a double overhead cam engine. This is a single overhead cam engine with 124cc cast into the cylinder. Upon further investigation, it appears that this bike originally had a 150cc engine, which has been replaced with a 125 engine at some point. Two of our mechanics have ridden it and both said it is definitely faster than a standard 125. This may be because it still has the CBR150 exhaust fitted, or it may have a bigger airbox than the 125 uses.

Can someone message him asking for the plate on the basis of wanting to do an HPI check? Would be interested to see if it's still registered as a CBR150
