I'm looking for a new commuter bike after Christmas, bit pointless taking my big bike for my 10 mile commute. I think the YBR and the CBF are a bit overpriced for something I want to abuse and not care about to much but I do fancy something new and reliable for work. I considered a Honda Wave 110i at £1800, but do fancy something a bit more conservative looking (shame they no longer sell the C90 as the Wave looks a bit feminine). I found this!
Not too conservative, but looks like a cub engine and easy to maintain

Warranty means nothing if they can't actually get the parts. Buying a new model of anything carries a risk, and "sole UK distributor" is a big warning sign.
£1700 (plus whatever they slap on it to get it on the road) ain't that cheap either, especially when you factor in depreciation.
Check that you can get insurance on it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Perhaps you should consider the Sym range.
They make a Cub copy:

...and I assume the Lion king pun was intended.
Or this is quite quirky:

Sym seems to be better regarded tha Kymco. I did hear that they have been used to make Hondas under licence as well. There seems to be a bit of a dealer network. |
