Looking for a disc shaped horn to replace the ridiculous lame one which came with my bike. I bought the twin snail type horn pack but couldn't find a suitable site to locate them so they are stashed in the shed for another day. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

I did wonder that at that price they will be no better than my current squeaker.

Just wonder if anyone had found a decent replacement?

I have a Stebel Nautilus Compact fitted to the Bandit at the moment - and it appeared to have been fine for the MOT.
I also have the original Suzuki horn, which will prob be refitted if/when I sell the bike.

EDIT :
Stebel Nautilus fitted to the side of the bike frame using a DIY modded bracket made from a curtain rail bracket Wink

Speaking of Horns, that reminded me to put the other one I got on the bike... rather than the pissy screechy high pitch thing, this one is a low pitch, probably not any more effective but its better than the screecher.

Doesn't look too out of place haha.. On a blue bike... Might have to give it a coat of paint Razz

I think I remember reading Rogerborg hooked up a siren to his bike to blast the ear drums of any old codgers threatening to pull out on him. See if you can find any scrapped fire engines Thumbs Up

Spray it after fitting, you'll only scratch it right up, personally I'd attach it somewhere hidden under the tank. If there's room. Smile

That looks like the one I bought (well 2 of them), turns out there was only 1 pin on the back so when I wired it up it constantly went off (I found the pin was the earth), so I either had to isolate them from the frame... or (as I done), went to the scrap yard and got a pair for £5

As for the la cucaracha horn.... that didn't sound right... surely it should sound a bit more like this.... only more drawn out at the end:

Tut Tut Needs to be single tone. Wink

eBay "12v alarm siren". It's probably not louder than a horn, but it's different.

Does that mean you can't have the simultaneous dual tone, train style horns?

yes you can, mine passed fine with one. It means duel tones played intermittently rather than two tones played at the same time.
